I am using the JA Business template for joomla 1.5 and developing it on my local server. I used the Joomla! 1.5.22 quickstart and upgraded to Joomla! 1.5.23 via akeeba ‘admin tools.’

    JA Login Problem

Front-end: While testing the registration process, I found I cannot register a new user from the front-end. The ‘register’ button does not work (img_1.jpg) & when I press ‘return’ on my keyboard I am redirected to a page called “Registered Area” (img_2.jpg). I am not prompted to check my email to confirm registration and if I navigate away from the “Registered Area” page, ‘create account’ reappears in the header.

Backend: When I check to see if the ‘newuser’ has been registered, I cannot find ‘newuser.’

I’ve tested the registration process in both ‘Firefox’ and ‘Safari.’ I am using php 5.3.5 on my server.

    Any Suggestions??

To be honest with you, it is difficult to investigate this for your particular issue without being able to view the site/issue.

The template and JA Login feature itself has been tested by our JA Development Team prior to releasing the template, so it does function. There may be a particular conflict relative to your particular set up that might be causing this error. But, again, it is difficult to investigate if we cannot look at your site or, if necessary, into your settings.

Please let me know how to send you the user name and password for the back-end.

    Thanks 🙂

    Hi Jen:
You simply send me a private message (PM) with the info.

    EDIT/UPDATE:
Nevermind … I received your email. Get back to you soon.

    EDIT/UPDATE 2:
I am unable to access your site via the url you provided. I get a “Site Not Found” error
(I use FireFox as my browser)
