Clueless!! I have Joomla 1.7 and community 1.7 just downloaded JA Comments and tried to get the documentation on how to setup from Wiki with no luck. I need help with setting up JA Comment on my site. Thanks:-[

I”m going to try to answer this one more time :-[ stupid forum’s being ditzy… anyway… we just released JA_Comment 1.7 today. there were not many changes as far as new features go http://www.joomlart.com/updates/joomla-extensions so the documentation for 1.6 should still apply. Let us know if you continue to be unable to access the new information

No it doesnt help much. I never had 1.6. This is a new install and not an upgrade. The documentation in Wiki is still not available.

the 1.6 docs should apply. I”ll leave note for boss’s that wiki is down. If I had an alternate for you I’d gladly provide it. Whats odd is even googles “cached” pages are not functioning . Would you please try again after a while.

If I had the 1.6 docs I would be cool, but this is my first time using JA Comments. Frankly I don’t even know if its gonna work. This what i have done
1. downloaded the new version
2. Installed the download
Now I don’t know what to do. Does it work with another feature. ????

If this is a totally clean site, you could use one of our “quickstart” templates to get the site up and going just like our demo. Ja_comment should work with any of our 1.7 templates. @ this time the only one I c its included with is Ja_minisite http://update.joomlart.com/#products.list//JA%20Comment%20Component%20j17/
However we did release several new 1.7 templates recently and I would think it would work well with any of those. So what I would do is look @ the 1.7 templates, choose which one you like if any, and then add comment to that if its not already included. That will give you a good solid basis to learn from and get you started with most of the bells and whistles you might desire.

In my previous threads I accurately laid out where i was in the process and that this was not a fresh install of a template. I understand that i am new to this Joomla format and my questions may be very simplistic and not challenging for you and your expertise. I will figure it out once the Wiki.joomlart server is working correctly. np.. and please don’t feel you can’t ask silly questions.. No questions is to silly… believe me i’ve asked some humdingers and I’ve been involved with Joomla since day one.
