May 22, 2012 at 11:45 am #177390I just upgraded my Teline IV to 2.5 and JA Comment as well.
I’d love to share couple of issues if someone has an idea how to fix.
First – in the emails I’m getting (as an admin) with post notifications, links to comments are extemely long – like 10 rows. In J1.5 I haven’t experienced such an issue.
Second – ADD BUTTON loads K2 item (I only use K2) as you’re hitting the title instead of JA Comment box. I had this issue before and support fixed getbutton.php, however I have the same issue now. What I can see when I hover the button is that Firefox shows item URL + #ja-contenwrap at the end.

Hello obliat,Link in notification email is based on item title. If your item title is long, link will be long ๐
For “add button” issue, do you mean you would like to scroll to comment form after clicking on “Add comment” button?
Best regards.

May 29, 2012 at 8:06 pm #455397Well, with J1.5 I had great short links as they are in the brower.
Like http://www.ecars.bg/elektromobili/item/2993-born-electric-tour-bmw-pokazva-i3-i8
Now with my Teline IV upgraded to J2.5 when i get an email notification of a new comment I get something like:
http:/www.ecars.bg/index.php?3cb75f16ca1e38dbce2eb1387cab5998=10e3vj9pfuphectcub8jqlops7&ja_teline_iv_tpl=ja_teline_iv&__utma=43010097.1059973817.1338126046.1338312683.1338317306.21&__utmc=43010097&__utmz=43010097.1338126046.1.1.utmcsr=(direct)|utmccn=(direct)|utmcmd=(none)&jpanesliders_module-sliders=0&jpanesliders_panel-sliders=0&configuration=server&jpanesliders_permissions-sliders=0&jpanesliders_contact-slider=2&6a7fb293e4345705574bf230ed2a8bcc=3ovjgdo2ri8mnof8b31sk44bu0&jpanesliders_database-sliders=0&information=phpinfo&__utmb=43010097.5.10.1338317306&Itemid=412&option=com_k2&view=item&task=2992:elektro-kolonka-zariadna-stancia-plovdiv-a1eco&id=2992:elektro-kolonka-zariadna-stancia-plovdiv-a1eco&#jacommentid:102
And clicking it does nothing…
ADD COMMENT issue fixed – I had a ticket and php fix.

June 4, 2012 at 7:22 am #455818Hello obliat,
Can you send PM to me with your site information (your site URL, your site admin account) and your FTP account? So I can diagnose this problem.
BTW, please include this forum thread URL in your PM, so I can follow it.
Best regards.

June 4, 2012 at 9:43 am #455851PM sent. thanks for your attention.
I was just about to submit a ticket, but there’s no need to do it as you’ll now take a look.
Please once you review my website see error_log for some PHP errors related to recent getbutton.php (see my tickets). Thanks.

Hello obliat,Long link in comment e-mail was resolved in “/plugins/content/jacomment/jacomment.php” file, about line 577. Problem occurred because it used JRequest::get() to get all parameters on page (include post & get). I changed this code line to JRequest::get(‘get’) to get only GET parameters of current page to build comment link.
For some errors in your “error_log” file, I see that those errors are generated on Jun/01/2012, maybe you did somethings wrong that day. I checked some pages on your site but i no longer see any errors.

June 6, 2012 at 4:13 pm #456335I like using that nice Thanะบs button – lots’ ot get LOL, and I do thank you very much for your support. Links are shorter now – like http:/www.ecars.bg/index.php?Itemid=457&option=com_k2&view=item&task=3011:purvi-proizveden-tesla-model-s&id=3011:purvi-proizveden-tesla-model-s#jacommentid:116
What bothers me is why when I click a link in a notification email it does not work (in J1.5 it used to open the article and anchor to the comment). I use Windows Live Mail and all other links in incoming emails work for me.
With J1.5 comemnts were as cleas as http://www.ecars.bg/elektromobili/item/2365-white-zombie-150-km-probeg-nai-burzata-elektro-kola-v-sveta#jacommentid:21
so I wonder why they now have index.php and other stuff.
I copy/pasted both links and you can see the first one (that I get now) is not recognised as a link (here it even displays a smiley because if same code), but the old one (with J1.5 is OK)
Thanks again and if you find a solution to the links please let me know ๐
Martin

Can you send me e-mail message you received from JA Comment? Because I can browse this link without any problem :www.ecars.bg/index.php?Itemid=457&option=com_k2&view=item&task=3011:purvi-proizveden-tesla-model-s&id=3011:purvi-proizveden-tesla-model-s#jacommentid:116

June 8, 2012 at 2:32 pm #456664I sent PM.
The link works when you put it in the browser’s URL field, but not when you click it from the email. With J1.5 it worked from the email and hasn’t had index.php itemid and that kind of stuff – people do ask me here why it changed and I can’t explain ๐

Hello,URL in notification e-mail was resolved. It lacks of “/” in “http:/”. So I fix it from:
http:/www.ecars.bg/index.php?Itemid=457&option=com_k2&view=item&task=3011:purvi-proizveden-tesla-model-s&id=3011:purvi-proizveden-tesla-model-s#jacommentid:116
to:
http://www.ecars.bg/index.php?Itemid=457&option=com_k2&view=item&task=3011:purvi-proizveden-tesla-model-s&id=3011:purvi-proizveden-tesla-model-s#jacommentid:116
Please check and confirm the same.
Best regards.

June 11, 2012 at 7:47 pm #456996Now when you point it I saw it lacks ‘/’ in the URL and made a new comment, but it the notification email it still lacks one ‘/’.
What I’d love to know is why links cannot be as they were with J1.5 –
Like http://www.ecars.bg/elektromobili/item/2154-elektricheska-dacia-sandero-slovenia#jacommentid:12It’s very confusing to users with those index.php and itemid things in the URL.
Guess some php file needs to have one more ‘/’ or ?

As URL in J1.5, it’ll be wrong if user changes article title. Because that URL is based on article title.Best regards.

June 13, 2012 at 11:04 am #457243Yup, now it works perfect.
As for J1.5 links – understood as well – thanks. Links look odd now, but if this is the way they need to be, no worries.
I created a ticket which is now not needed.
Thank you!
