Hi
I installed JA Comment on my 1.6 site today. It installed correctly and I was able to configure it okay. After entering a test comment, I tried to moderate it from the admin panel but when I click on the Moderation link, the page appears messed up with the following error message next to the new comment:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() in /home/beetroot/public_html/components/com_jacomment/helpers/jahelper.php on line 2187
I am running Joomla 1.6.1 with the JA Methys template.
I am also having problems with JA Slideshow, Content slider and JA Tabs, but think this may be something to do with images and GD2 LIbs, so I have asked my hosting company to look into this.
Khoand has access details to my site (I PMed these a couple of weeks ago).

Hello,
You should ask your hosting company to enable mb (multibytes) function. I think it caused the problem with mb_internal_encoding() function.
For the problem with GD2 libs, is it resolved after asking your hosting company to enable?
Thank you.

July 4, 2011 at 12:44 pm #399801Hi nhatnx
I’ve asked my hosting company to look into the mb (multibytes) issue. Enabling the GD2 library fixed the other image=based problems.
I’ll keep you posted.
Thanks
Steve
