Have you considered the free JComments? http://extensions.joomla.org/extension/jcomments
Or stackideas.com/komento if you want the best (paid)

I have JA Comments on a Teline V site and it’s been a struggle.
I think you can import old comments from Ja Comments to JComments.

Fyi information i have this error on the server log, can you try to get ride of it ??? (too much php error make 403 error on the server randomly)

Try to extract my attachment and overwrite to file:

components/com_jacomment/helpers/config.php

Always take a backup of old file first.
