Where can I get some info how to setup JA Comment. Wiki.joomlart is not working. If not can someone post the process for me. Thanks.

Hi manos
I am trying to setup a JA Comment so that it will enable the user to comment on the articles, and also a way for them to start a new thread for commenting. I have downloaded the newest version of JA Comments and configured it in the components section. Not sure what i should do next. I thought I would try and read the documentation to learn how to move forward, but would love your assistance in setup.

luckily ja_comment is pretty straight forward. please look @ http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Comment/Overview If you have the plugin activated it should just “work” It might need some minor configuration but this guide will get you going 😀

Hi i am not sure what you want to do here. You want your users to have the ability to start a new thread ?

Well with JA Comments like any other comment system you can let your users reply on articles! Otherwise you need a forum to achieve something like that, if i understand correct what you want to achieve.

If they could comment on articles i would be happy with that for now. Is that possible to do with JA Comments

Hi,

Yes it is! Just let me know on which categories you want your users to be able to post comments and i will make necessary settings for you!
(You can do this via PM if you don’t wont to post in public)

Ok I want want them in the Student Blogs Category. I think i just figured it out. I need to add {JA Comment on} in each article. Is there an easier way

Nope!! You don’t have to add {JA Comment on} ! You have to add {JA Comment off} only if you want to disable comments on an article at this category!

I can see that comments are on for this category ( index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=68:abuse-so-often-leads-to-addictions&catid=86&Itemid=491#ja-contentwrap ) please check and verify from your side also!)
