Hi,

I recently installed the J 1.6 version of Community Plus template. Along with that I installed the Slideshow (1.0.1) extension. I unable to save the slideshow module and it gives a ‘No Permission’ error. Only Slideshow gives the error. Other extensions work perfectly. Any idea about this problem? This is currently on a local test site.

Your problem is a JA slideshow bug, and it will be fixed in the next version. for now you can view the fix on the bug tracker page.

Not sure whether this is the core issue. Couple of more issues that I have faced

A) If i use <!– {jaimage} tag within the Article, the tag gets stripped off when I save it. Not sure whether it is a problem with the editor or is there any dependent plugin.

B) JA Slide show is extremely slow. It takes a while to open or save.

C) Some of the module options are different between J1.5 and J1.6. I see item width, item height is always enabled even if the Navigation show dropdown is ‘Number’

Here are my answers for your questions:
A) You can use custom tag on content of article as following:


{jaimage main="images/gallery/gal-7.jpg" thumb="images/resized/images/stories/slideshow/sl-5_60_60.jpg"}

If you use <!–{jaimage} tag, it is stripped off by text editor
B) ja slideshow is slow – this could be due your hosting.
C) some slideshow params on j1,6:
– item width / item height: width value of each item on navigation (image thumbnail or number). it mean you can set size of navigation item.
– thumbnail width/ thumbnail height: it sets width/ height for image thumbnail.
