Yesterday , we contacted HostGator for help with removing 404 errors
on the website ,
while they were looking into the matter , they somehow broke Php due
to which the website went offline ,
we reported this issue after which they installed php 5.2.17 which was
causing display error on the website , eg : ?? find an institue ?? ,
we asked them to install 5.3.6 after which the display errors we sorted out ,
but the JS didnt work (Mega Menu not working , search module not
working , google ads going out of the header scroller in the tweet
module not working , login UI box not working )today morning i removed the mod_latesttweet after which the search
module and the google ads became proper , but the main menu and the
login still dont work 🙁what would be the resolution for this issue . any pointers ?

April 26, 2011 at 9:23 am #388295Currently I am not sure if this template supports php5.3.6 but I will test and get back to you.
Are you using the J1.5 or the J1.6 version? Is both your template and the JAT3 plugin updated to the latest release? If not please update both using the JA Extension Manager (make backups first just incase).

April 26, 2011 at 10:22 am #388315Again, are you using Joomla 1.5 or Joomla 1.6?
What version of the template are you running and have you tried upgrading it using JA Extensions Manager?
What version of the JAT3 Framework are you running and have you tried upgrading it with the JA Extensions Manager?
If you would like me to take a look please PM me an admin logon. Please include a link to this thread in your PM.

April 26, 2011 at 11:04 am #388324You need to update your Joomla version from 1.5.22 to 1.5.23
You need to update your JAT3 framework plugin from Version 1.2.1 to 1.2.4
You may also need to update your template.
When you have done that please check and see if your errors are fixed.

April 26, 2011 at 12:14 pm #388331I have upgraded joomla and T3 to 1.2.4 I have one question I have renamed the original template to gyancentral so when I am updating via ja extension manager its not finding the update and would I loose my custom settings if I do a manual update. If its advisable how should I go about the same?

April 26, 2011 at 12:32 pm #388333Yes, a manual update would mean you loose your changes. Have you updated the Joomla core yet?
I have tested your version of the template with the latest version of PHP I can get my hands on which is 5.3.5 and it does work as expected. I will attempt to upgrade my local install to PHP 5.3.6 and see if I still get no errors. In the mean time get your Joomla install up to date as you are currently at risk with some known security issues.
*edit – Sorry, I missed that you have upgraded Joomla. Well done.

April 26, 2011 at 12:49 pm #388336When you update the jat3 framework that file would have been overwritten. Many of the files in the framework can be copied into your templates directory whete they will override the one in the framework folder. That is the case here, you could have made a copy of the navhelper.php file in your templates>ja_community_plus>blocks folder and the change would not have been overriden.
Having said that, are you wanting rid og the entire breadcrumbs block on the frontpage only? If that is the case we can do it with profiles in the template manager.

April 26, 2011 at 1:09 pm #388340I have made some edits in your template manager as per below..
Made a copy of the default layout and called it default-frontpage and removed the navhelper block from it.
Created a profile called frontpage-nocrumbs
Assigned that profile to the frontpage only. So now you can undo the changes suggested in the other thread regarding the code in the navhelper.php file. You also seem to have some padding causing that gap. Please remove the line I have highlighted in red below from template.css line 792
#ja-topsl .main {
padding: 20px 0 0;}
April 26, 2011 at 1:49 pm #388349Thanks for removing the breadcrumps however now the following has happened:
1. The button CSS has changed (Vote button in Poll Central)
2. The footer links colors have changed (Footer links right at the bottom – Post Graduate, Graduate and others) – The links now are showing green were white before
3. Project Central and Video Central below main navigation the title of the module has changed – eg. Project Central color has changed
4. The ajax tabs CSS has been shifted and pagination is showing some errors
5. The Register and Login is not operating – Its a Javascript
Kindly have a look at the same your support is appreciated
