    Hello all,

I need to know what codes to be put to connect a video I have already uploaded in my own site. As it is shown in the example JA Community Plus, it is easy to connect to YouTube. I tried to do many times,
but did not get any result. Here is the code I tried to put: data=”http://www.mysite.com/videos/
Have I to install a certain component?

    Hope somebody helps me.
    Thanks.

You cannot simply link to a vido to embed it, you have to use specific code.

What version of Joomla are you running, J1.5 or J1.6?

    Hi Phill,
    Thanks for your quick reply.
I am running Joomla 1.5. Let me know a specific code I have to use.

I would heartilly recomment installing the all videos reloaded extension. It adds a button to the editor that inserts all the code for you.

    Thank you very much, Phill.
I have downloaded and installed the extention you mentioned.
It looks working fine to embed a video in an article. When I tried to have a video as it is shown in JA Community Plus example,
it is too small and page layout is not fine as in the example. Perhaps I did not put some right codes.
I will be so wonder if I have my video from my own site to be played as the example.
    Regards,

The extension allows you to specify the height and width when you embed your video using the button.

When you state “as per the demo” are you talking about the dedicated video module?

Here is an example of a page I did using the code as per the demo – http://www.windsurf.me.uk/articles/locations-a-holidays/110-reef-retreat-resort-boracay.html

    Hello Phill,
Yes. The extention is working fine.
I appreciate your posting so much. It answered my question.
