I am still new to Joomla, but I have been able to little by little figure out how to use it. I first installed the JA Sulfur template, but then decided to switch to JA Lead for design reasons. In the process (probably not knowing what I was doing), I deleted a lot of the content.

The problem I face is that I just don’t seem to be able to get any content into the JA contentslide. Can anyone explain STEP BY STEP, what I need to do. I believe I have configured the module correctly, but I need to know how to get the content displayed in the contentslide. So far I have created a specific section and category for the contentslide. And I created an article within that category, to which I inserted pictures. Nevertheless, nothing shows up in the contentslide.

What do I need to do?

1. download JA Lead newest version
2. Use quickstart installation , best for you.
To install JoomlArt templates (or other Joomla! templates also), please follow these steps below:

1. Download the template package from JoomlArt download section

2. Login to your Joomla! Administrator Panel. Then select Extensions >> Install/Uninstall

3. Click on Browse button then select the template package (zip file) that you want to install, then click Upload File & Install

If you’ve already uploaded all template file to a specific folder on your site, you can choose to install them from directory. Put the absolute path to that directory and click Install

You will receive successful message if template has been installed. Otherwise, please follow Joomla! instruction to correct error.

4. To use your installed template, select Extensions >> Templates Manager

Choose the template that you want to use as a default template, then click on Default button

A star icon will display to mark that template has been used as default in front-end.

5. To configure the settings of each template, click on that template name, you will be directed to its configuration page. And you can change all the settings relate to that template there.

thank you for your reply. you are suggesting to install the quickstart template, but is that possible, if i have already installed the quickstart template for JA Sulfur once and then installed the template for JA Lead? do i need to erase everything once including dropping the tables in my database and get started again from scratch? i tried what you described, but it uploads for a while and once it is done, it just takes me to the “control panel”, without any message of a successful install. i believe that is due to the fact, that i already have the template installed.

basically i only need to know how to get something to display in the contentslide. what do i need to exactly do. i know how to the settings in the module, but how to i create the data to be displayed in the contentslide? if you or anyone can explain this step by step to me, that’d be great. thanks!
