Hi all …
I’m trying to get JA Decor installed on my existing site. I just installed the template itself and not the quick install (as this site had existing content, components, etc.)
Right now, I’ve tried to follow any existing setup for this template but it is very generic. I need to get my current site looking like the demo layout. Right now, it appears my site’s width is small and not responsive, and the menu, mass head along with the slideshow is messed up!
Can anyone provide some guidance or assistance? I’ve installed lots of templates before, this one is stumping me for some reason.
Here is the site: http://184.107.161.146/~whitbycu/
Thanks all!

May 16, 2014 at 2:46 pm #535438I also experiencing something similar. When i shrink my browser window it moves half of the main navigation menu under the logo so you can’t see the entire main nav. When i decrease the width of the site more it does switch to the mobile menu which is fine, but it’s that in between that causes an issue.

May 16, 2014 at 2:51 pm #535439Hi,
Looks like you’ve solved that ? I just visited the link you provided and the website is responsive.
As for the demo layout etc, i suggest that you install the QS package on a test server and see how it works (and the settings) from the QS backend.southpaw3229 Friendsouthpaw3229

May 16, 2014 at 3:51 pm #535444Hi,
Can’t see a problem (maybe you can explain in more details what’s the actual problem here?) check my screen shot -> http://prntscr.com/3jqsq4
May 19, 2014 at 6:58 pm #535743Actually the problem is with the regular web menu. The web menu is not on a single line. Also when viewing on the web, the usable web page display area isn’t wide like the demo. I installed the quick start on another are of the website to test, and I did all of the settings the same way …. still no change.
Appreciate your help pascm!

May 19, 2014 at 10:13 pm #535766Hi,
Instead of using “text-separator” please use an external link with a “#” or better a javascript:void(0) instead, i fixed that on one of your menu items.Let me know if that helps

May 20, 2014 at 3:27 pm #535893Pascm,
Thanks for helping with this. I did change all menu items to use external link with # and it still moves half the main nav under the logo. See screen shot. I just shrank my screen window to re-create the issue.
Thanks though for trying.

Please open a new thread it’s easier to follow.
May 20, 2014 at 7:59 pm #535951Thanks for the new thread request to Pascm …. I was getting hi-jacked a bit!
Thanks for the menu fix. The next issue was that the title of the pages are not displaying like the demo. They are all appearing in a large font, centered on the top of the page, with a different background color.
The other issue is that the web pages are not as wide as the demo pages.
Appreciate the assistance!

May 22, 2014 at 9:58 am #536206Hi,
Have you checked the settings in accordance with a QS package ?
May 22, 2014 at 2:27 pm #536237Yes …. I did. I’ve found the Masthead settings to get the Title to display properly.
However, I still cannot get the template to size on the screen in the same way it does for the demo. If you tab back and forth between demo http://ja-decor.demo.joomlart.com/index.php/en/ and my site http://184.107.161.146/~whitbycu/index.php you’ll see what I mean. It also appears that I have a box around my image on the left.
May 23, 2014 at 6:48 pm #536444Any thoughts? Really struggling on this … Thanks!

May 24, 2014 at 10:33 pm #536538Hi,
Are you sure you use the same version as the one on the demo server you linked me ?
What also confuses me is that i can see that both links have the same size now am i wrong ?May 24, 2014 at 10:34 pm #536539Same version … yes. I re-applied the default template setting and now I see the responsive behavior working. Very odd stuff.
Thanks for your help.
