Please disregard my last message. I could not login using the same browser (Firefox) that kept feeding me from its cache with another matter related to your templates was sending my login info but not delivering properly. Its the same browser that would not refresh my localhost site when I installed and enabled K2 Search. I’ll take this up with Mozilla because I just successfully logged in using Chrome.
Thank you for your help and I am deeply sorry to have put you to so much trouble when I could have done all of this myself had I known in advance what Firefox was doing.

October 23, 2015 at 8:43 am #706716@technoaussie: I have received your private message and you can find the answer below

1. Should I update Joomla to the new version I’m getting a message about or will it damage the existing installation?

+ You need to backup all your site first and update joomla latest version on your site

2. Did you find any reason why that password would not work for me?

+ I only accessed phpMyAdmin(db access) and reset the password on your site.

3. What level of membership do I need to be able to remove the copyright notice in your name and will that apply to the other sites I intend to create with your templates.?

You can refer to guide here and the following step #3: T3 Templates:
Hope it helps
