My site is running Joomla 1.5.22. I made the changes recommended by dathq but it does not force the menu items to be centered so that the left/right margins of the main navigation are equal. I am not talking about centering the text on the buttons themselves. To be sure, I temporarily disabled all but a couple items to make it very apparent. On my site I am enabling the cssmenu, so I copied the .megamenu line as cssmenu for the css and it does not help. It reads:

.main .main-inner1 { margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0;margin:0 auto }
.ja-megamenu { margin: 0; padding: 0;float:left }
.ja-cssmenu { margin: 0; padding: 0;float:left }

I also went into the custom theme menus/css.css file and duplicated these lines thinking this might help. The development URL:

Any ideas on what else I might do to make the navigation menu center on a 1.5+ joomla website?

Please PM me an admin logon and ftp account and I will take a look for you. The initial code was for J1.5 so not sure what you are missing.
