Do I need the JATC frame work with JA_Droid template? If so is it included in the quickstart or do I need to download it seperate? I have already Joomla 2.5 on my host but no template yet?
thanks for any tip

If I may help clarify . . . .With each quickstart installation package, both the Joomla CMS and our JAT3 Framework is installed for you/automatically with the template elements. In other words, you do not (and should not) need to pre-install Joomla onto your server if you are going to want to utilize our quickstart installation packages.
For a complete step-by-step tutorial on how to perform a quickstart installation, please SEE HERE
Hope that helps.

February 17, 2012 at 10:35 pm #438725Thanks I guess that is an old question I left serverl yesterday I was not sure if somebody would read it. Why did sombody tell me that in Joomla 1.6, 1.7 and 2.5 you have to install the template via admin panel? Was that wrong? So if I now use the quick start package then I have to uninstall Joomla 2.5 on my host? That is the part I don’t understand.
thans for clarification.

February 17, 2012 at 10:47 pm #438727There are several ways to install templates.
Is this current install for a brand new/stand-along website you are developing ??
February 17, 2012 at 11:22 pm #438732Yes it is I just signed up with my host. So do you think I could do the quick install or the conventional way. I can uninstall the version of Joomla 2.5 that is up there now?
Not sure which way would be easier?
thanks by the way.

February 17, 2012 at 11:25 pm #438733As this is a brand new install . . . my recommendation is to wipe the slate clean – including any pre-installed Joomla 2.5 script (you don’t need it) and database information (set up a new one) – and follow the steps outlined within the tutorial link I provided for you above.
This is exactly the method I use to install templates – and, barring any server permission issues, it works virtually every single time.
February 18, 2012 at 4:42 pm #438811Hello Tom
Well I did the quick installation and it looks ok but the pictures are not there and I can’t get into the global configurations there is an Error message as follows “50 – An error occurred, Layout default session not found, Return to Control Panel”Any idea what could have happened? I did every sept very carefully an correct. Here is the URL http://www.cabestwebsolutions.com
if you ind anything please let me know.

right . . . exactly what I mentioned above😎
February 18, 2012 at 9:40 pm #438837Sorry but I can’t find a reply to my post with the problem. I checked in the source files and It looks to me like there are no css stylesheets attached to the template only for the t3-assets and the fancybox the template has not stylesheet at all.
Can I add it somehow?
hannelore
the message I left for the JAT 3 was for someone else who left a message asking what I ment by JATC I guess I did not make that clear.
The template I installed is on a clean slate no former installation and everything step by step honest I did not make a mistake I think it’s in the template there is some part missing.
