Hi,
I joined JoomlArt after seeing the awesome JA EDENITE template. Its exactly what I have been searching for and trust me, I have looked at virtually all the clubs.
Anyway, I was getting ready to install the template and was checking the demo at:
http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo.php?template=ja_edeniteIt does not validate at. 😮
http://validator.w3.org/i would really love a JA EDENITE template that validates. Did JA really intend for it to be “XHTML 1.0 Strict” as its DOCTYPE indicates? Your description pages say “XHTML 1.0 Transitional”. Perhaps that is why?
Also, the following do not validate per same issue :
http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo.php?template=ja_dravity
http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo.php?template=ja_corona
http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo.php?template=ja_barite
http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo.php?template=ja_avian_ii_dCould be more, am I using the wrong URL to check validation? If so I apologize as I am new to Joomla!. What URL should I be using to verify the template validates before installing it.
FYI:
These validation links on the following pages do not work:
XHTML 1.0 Transitional Check it ?
CSS Validates Check it ?http://www.joomlart.com/templates_club/club_portfolio/ja_edenite.html
Thanks

Looks like I was trying to validate the the parent frame of the demo area in those URL’s I mentioned. Doh, my mistake!
:confused:http://template15.joomlart.com/ja_edenite/ does indeed validate. 😀
Regarding the other things I mentioned, the validation links from this page do not work:

March 24, 2008 at 2:09 pm #243055I think MICCAS means he fixed the errors on the demopage(the script used there)
March 24, 2008 at 4:18 pm #243063Hi MiCCAS
Thanks for fixing that. Also look at the same links/pages for:

March 24, 2008 at 4:24 pm #243065Hi tcraw1010,
As Menalto points out, MiCCAS fixed the link from the overview demo page. The Edenite template itself does properly validate. I was using the wrong link to try and validate. It was a newbie mistake on my behalf. 🙂

Using your links into JA Edenite Overview (http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?profile=css2&warning=2&uri=http://template15.joomlart.com/ja_edenite/), I see that the template isn’t CSS valide. How is possible?

December 6, 2009 at 3:40 pm #325833Got to really ask yourself…Does it really matter?
Never going to look or act the same in every browser, and you could get it 100% then add a module which could show mark up errors.
Dont think you will come across many site out of 100 picked at random that have no mark up errors.
So back to the Does it matter question….Probably Not! 😉
