    Hi all,

    I’m having a problem with the ja_slideshow on ja_edenite.
The image for the slideshow appears in the top left hand corner of the page, not in topsl as I’ve asked it to.

I’ve checked the position of topsl by using ?tp=1 and it is correct.
    I’ve uninstalled/re-installed the extension
I’ve had a look in the forum and can’t find an answer.

    Any ideas folks?

    Andrew

For what it’s worth, I tried placing my images in the default “fruit” directory and that seems to work. perhaps it has something to do with searching for the thumbnail pics?

    Correction,

This appears to still be broken once i removed the default fruit pictures fromt he directory. Not sure why it worked when I had one custom image with the fruit pictures. It’s almost as though the smaller pictures forced the proper location of the newer image. So the slideshow module for edenite is still broken for now.

    Things I have tried:
Resizing of images to comply with default slideshow settings as listed in userguide
Adjustment of height and width in slideshow module
Turning on search engine friendly URLs (as sugguested in one of the threads)
Creating different directories for header images in the media manager

It appears as though there is genuinly something wrong with the slideshow module provided by the edenite files, as trying another slideshow module from another tmeplate seems to work, however i get a black border with the other one so that’s not going to work. Any help would be appreciated.

I sorted the problem in the end.

For IE, I had to add something to the css for the topsl position. I can’t remember exactly but I found the tip in the JA forum. (I think it may have been a clear or a block directive).

To get the link feature working I had to turn on Show Description and add this text in the backend.

I can still reproduce the positioning problem if I only have one image in the specified folder.

Also, there is still a problem with IE 6&7 (not tried 8 yet) with the fade effect. The images appear half way across the page. Change the transition effect to something else and the images display fine. FF and Safari do not exhibit this problem.

    How queer!

I am totally new to Joomla and I am working my way through the. I am having alot of trouble with the slide show module. When I add this as a new module it has no parameters plus it doesn’t show up on the homepage.

Also, I am having a hard time figuring out how to remove menus from certain pages. Similar to the demo of the Edenite. On the homepage I want all menus on the side, but on a sub page or a wrapper page I only one the left menus to show.

    Please help!

    Thank you,
    Dave

I think you are installing the old version or missing some configurations.

Pleasse submit a ticket, send me your live url, admin account and let me know in detail your issue so that i could have a closer look on the issue.

Now, it is so hard to debug it because i don’t have your information for checking. Please see our demo site, it is working fine.
