Unfortunately it does not work. I guess it is not related with font type also. Because it was working in the beginning properly.
Any other idea?

The problem is in firefox. In explorer it looks fine.

Hi again,

I checked the site in FF and IE8 and it seems to me that the font-family and font-weight getting applied in FF is not applied for IE8.. Can you check if you have any IE specific stylesheets in your template/css folder.. If you find any, please make sure that whatever styling is applied to the menu css / template css for menuitems, is same in the IE specific css..

well, I could not find any related code in the css and I decided to try your first solution. And it works. I’ve tried some different types of google fonts from cyrillic scripts and now there is not any problem. I guest in my first attempt, I was dealing with wrong menu. Sorry for stealing your time.
