Hello,
I’m testing the K2 component and it’s amazing, but something strange happens between JA Featured Module and it.

This is the frontpage when I select Joomla Articles source

But when I select the source to K2, all the frontpage change

This is a capture of the configuration

I’ve Joomla 1.7.3 and the modules and the template updated.

which version of k2 are you using? we dont’ support anything newer then 2.4.2 at this time in teline

So… can’t I use K2 with teline iv in Joomla 1.7? I’ve not found 2.4.2 version, only 2.4.1 and that is for Joomla 1.5 http://code.google.com/p/getk2/downloads/list

This seems crazy as this means that K2 is not supported under Joomla 1.7 even though it has been advertised as such. I have requested a refund in lieu of this…

no, your incorrect… the current k2 works with kranos and tiris already.. k2 release 3 updates in less then 30 days. Kinda hard to keep up with that when you have as many templates as we do. 2.4.2 I’m sure is available from K2, but try 2.5.1 , just ask k2 how to get it.

Hi n6rej,

I am correct in that I am referring to Teline IV not other JA templates. I am in fact posting in the Teline IV forum..I signed up solely to use the Teline IV template which CLEARLY states that it supports both K2 and Joomla 1.7 (Unlike JA Travel which clearly states that it ONLY supports K2 on Joomla 1.5)…Based on this fact within your advertisement I purchased a one year subscription to JA. Once I had Member access to the support forums, to my dismay I soon found that you did not support this template with K2 and Joomla 1.7 nor had any immediate plans to fix this…

To make things even worse you are referring ,me to use K2 2.4.2 – This does not support Joomla 1.7 at all !!!…The first K2 version built with 1.6/1.7 compatibility was 2.50RC in October this year. This in turn illustrates that your advertisement is totally incorrect.

If someone from JA actually looked into the issue as opposed to responding to forum posts stating that it is not supported then you might see that the issue (I believe) lays around the thumbnail creation in K2…something is wrong here as with cropped enabled only some images display so have to use original image setting which is not good…Also infotext character limit shows images in content even when character amount set to 5 or 10

I’d be grateful if someone would respond to my refund request sent over two days ago with either an explanation or the refund. Obviously its the New Year so didn’t expect immediate response…Sorry if coming across in the wrong way but I am migrating live site from existing K2 2.5x so must work….

Now, for the last time, can I have my refund…I have followed your Refund steps exactly and have not had ANY response in days…This is no way to treat a brand new customer…not impressed a bit…I am a member of every large template club and never thought I would come across something worse than Gavick !!! I was wrong I found it here….

I’ve tried to be polite in my ticket to you guys but you choose to ignore it so you force this attitude…

I’ve enabled the Source to K2 on both the News Featured and News Pro modules on the demo and as previously mentioned there is a big issue with the K2 introtext settings in that they do not work properly…I would take a guess that it is this odd behavior that is breaking the template, possibly the (or lack of ) K2 override on this template….

It may be worth downloading the 1.5 version and checking whether there is a com_k2 folder in templates/telineiv/html and copying over to the 1.7 version however this is just a guess..
