JA Feburary Template?

    Usually there are 2 JA templates every month. Is there going to be another template for February or is the next template going to be for March?

    Joomlart decided to release some extra themes for the previous template Cooper instead of bringing out a new template. Wich means you wont see a second template this month.

    We had different themes in the past and still a second template, I think you’ve got too much on your plate with Magento. You’re becoming greedy and will lose customers. >:(

    True, we are not getting a second template this month. We are getting a “revamped” business edition of JA Cooper which you can view here: http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo.php

    But, JA have had a lot to deal with this month, especially with establishing JA Magento Theme Club. Setting up a system (even alongside an old one) means a lot of headache and work, especially things such as the legal sides and expansion and merging with the current systems, and things can take up a lot of your time and even worse – go wrong (take us Brit’s examples of Heathrow Terminal 5).

    So.. I say cut them some slack for now – hopefully they’ll get their game back for March and realease 3 templates, 2 for JA and 1 for JA Magento which shows some real promise!

    Yes, one of the reasons for joining the club was that I would get 2 new different templates to try every month. This has not been the case so I guess it’s a breach of the initial terms……and false advertising. You cannot take someones money and then not give them what you promised.

    Creating a Magento club is of no interest to the JATC members as we have to pay for magento templates. Why should we suffer because of this?

    I am also in agreement with many of the other members in saying that we must have new business theme templates. Too many grunge and dark templates.

    So, it looks like Joomlart have to release the Opal template for download AND provide 2 new joomla templates in March. Let’s see what happens.

    Oh, are you suffering? Poor little fella . . . maybe some nice hot chicken noodle soup will help ease your unyielding “suffering.”
    60+ templates available to you and you cannot use a single one of them, eh?

    Well put, 60+ templates is a good number – end of the day there are humans on the other end. For (possibly) the first time they didn’t pull all the way through – doesn’t mean we should run them over, reverse back and run over them again! You provide support and you wait for the next.

    The real issues begin when they continuously begin to fail us.

    Not only that, but the templates of late have been pretty nice – innovative.

    Some people are just prone to complain about anything/everything, I guess.

    I don’t know Tom, my opinion is if a company says in its contract (terms and agreement) that for xxx dollars you will get xx items and then for whatever reasons fails to deliver you have a right to say hang on fellas?

    Like would you be peeved if your toy store advertised some xbox games as buy one get one free, (2 for 1) and when you got there they said sorry couldn’t do it so we withdraw that offer, but we’ll give you 5 different coloured xbox stickers to plaster on any game box cover?

    As you correctly point out sometimes time runs out etc, I have no problem with that if JA admitted they are understaffed or something?

    But as someone else said with the magneto side of things now happening ( which most of us here are not using or interested in buying (yet) are ja diverting or dividing the workforce to0 thin to provide 2 templates per mth and in a rush to offer something, add 5 x (2 minute dev time) colour changes to an existing template in an effort to appease the mob

    Just my take on contract law

    Thank you ShannonN, well said and don’t you think they should be transparent with new prospective clients and tell them to expect 12 templates, 1 each month instead of the current misleading ad they run? :confused:

    This is very interesting. It seems to me that you guys are happy to part with your hard earned money and not receive what you were promised.

    Who can lend me $70 now and I promise to pay you $35 back?

    I would like to see a poll on the site that asks JATC members if they are happy with 1 new template per month. I bet that doesnt happen for obvious reasons!

    Why do they display the Magento template under the “Joomla Template” tab other than giving new and chicken soup member 😀 the impression that 2 templates was released.
