I have been trying to get this working … still without success.

When I try to install the recommended package in your documentation I get an error. If I try installing the other packages the search option on the page looks nothing like the template.

Here in attachment is the error I get when trying to install the package. What can I do to avoid this error?

Kindly share a temp super user details of site in private reply. I will try to install the JA K2 filter for you.
It seems the zip you are installing is corrupt on it contains further zip files in it.
