Receiving error:
“Fatal error: Class ‘FixelHelper’ not found in /home/cameron01/public_html/DiamondRental/thedesigner/templates/ja_fixel/html/com_content/article/default.php on line 20”.
This is a fresh Joomla! 3.x install. Please advise. Thanks.

May 24, 2014 at 11:45 pm #536541Hi,
Seems like there are some files missing from your Installation, please try to re-upload those.

May 25, 2014 at 12:07 am #536544Hi there,
JA Fixel is not Joomla 3.3.0 compatible yet so I suggest you rollback to Joomla 3.2.4 and see if the error persists. By the way, where in your web-site do you see that error and how do you arrive to it, I mean what actions lead you to it?
For more on what JoomlArt templates are already J! 3.3.0 compatible, please have a look at Arvind Chauhan blog at http://www.joomlart.com/blog/news-updates/6-joomla-templates-are-joomla-3-3-ready-and-our-joomla-3-3-roadmap
Hope this helps
Regards
Alex
May 25, 2014 at 12:13 am #536545Sounds good, I will roll back to 3.2.4. I receive the error at the front page. Here is the code in question –
$gridInfo = FixelHelper::getGrid($this->item);
Rolling back now, will report back shortly.
May 25, 2014 at 12:20 am #536547Godaddy’ installatron won’t install 3.2.4, so I installed 3.2.3, same error. Is it worth going to the effort to get the 3.2.4 distribution for a manual install, or now that you know I’m still getting the error is there another solution? Thanks so much.

May 25, 2014 at 12:24 am #536548The same error shouldn’t be there on 3.2.3.
Edit: Try the QS package without the use of any installation scripts from your host.
May 25, 2014 at 12:42 am #536550Ok I got the unscripted 3.2.4 install and I’m setting up now. Will report back.
May 25, 2014 at 1:27 am #536552Same error. I’ve installed under a new directory, using the unscripted Joomla 3.2.3 – http://thedesigner904.com/thedesigner/
Issue is now isolated to the template file, which I’ve downloaded twice to account for data loss. Please advise, thank you.May 25, 2014 at 1:41 am #536554I think it’s fixed – I didn’t have the T3 framework installed. What else am I missing? Do I have to install each plugin individually? Thanks.
Edit – Please excuse my ignorance, I’m trying to make the leap from WordPress to Joomla and this is my first site.

May 25, 2014 at 2:09 am #536556I’ve just managed to reproduce exactly the same error on my remote hosting on Joomla 3.2.4 with demo data + ja_fixel.v1.0.4.zip + plg_system_jat3.v2.7.1.zip + com_jaextmanager.v2.5.8.zip.
Let me and my colleague pascm do some more testing and if worse comes to worse, we’ll refer it to our developers for you. Please bear with us. I’ll keep you posted on the progress.
Regards
Alex

May 25, 2014 at 2:22 am #536557By the way, while I am chasing the bug, you may indeed consider installing JA Fixel Quick Start for Joomla 3, just like pascm advised:

This way you won’t face this error (I didn’t) and, most importantly, will get better feel of what JA Fixel and it’s accompanying JA extensions are all about.

May 25, 2014 at 3:15 am #536561Just to add to the picture if you are to follow the JA Fixel Quick Start route.
I’ve uploaded Joomla 3.2.4 installation ZIP archive onto my JA Fixel Quick Start web-site root, unpizzed it, deleted the /installation/ folder thus updating my JA Fixel Quick Start from Joomla 3.2.3 to 3.2.4 and there was no error.
Hope this helps

May 25, 2014 at 4:10 pm #536578Hi there,
Here is my conclusion.
When you install standalone (not as a Quick Start) JA Fixel template on Joomla 3.2.3 or Joomla 3.2.4 system, the “Fatal error: Class ‘FixelHelper’ not found in /<path_to_your_joomla>/templates/ja_fixel/html/com_content/article/default.php on line 20” pops up in two scenarios:
1 you didn’t install T3 framework at all, as you seem to have already noticed
2 you installed a wrong T3 framework “JA T3v2 System Plugin for J25 & J32 (1.23 MB) plugin 03-14-2014 2.7.1”, packaged as plg_system_jat3.v2.7.1.zip and downloadable from http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=361 whereas the correct T3 framework plug-in is “T3 System Plugin (2.72 MB) plugin 02-17-2014 2.1.2”, packaged as “plg_system_t3.v2.1.2.zip” and downloadable from http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=496
I am marking this thread as “Solved” now.
Regards
Alex
