August 16, 2013 at 10:04 pm #502526Not sure if I should wait for the launch of the new docs site but as one of the JA staff has posted a link in another thread I suppose it is OK – http://joomlart.com/documentation/joomla/ja-templates/904-ja-fixel-template

September 25, 2013 at 2:35 pm #507052Several details. It is a great looking template, but there are many little tricks to get things going though. AddThis, for instance. I dont even know if I want / have to subscribe to a third party service. Besides, the informantion on how to set it up is not straight. I´ll keep trying.

September 25, 2013 at 2:50 pm #507054No, you do not need an account for the buttons but for the full JA Bookmark plugin features you can see this guide for all the setup details – http://joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-plugins/ja-bookmark-plugin . I agree that many of the newer templates are complex beasties with a lot of subtle setup details required. JA provide the quickstart packages which for most is the best way to go unless you are upgrading an existing site. Even then it is good to have the quickstart installed locally so you can compare settings. JA are always glad to hear your thoughts on improvements for any aspect of their business. For a long time these forums were more of a community and many users contributed to the docs, code etc and were often rewarded by JA for doing so. Somehow that has faded a little but hopefully that atmosphere of collaboration can return. So feel free to suggest improvements to the docs and we will take your ideas on board.

September 25, 2013 at 3:11 pm #507056Thank you so much for your quick response. I am a fan of Joomlart and I´ve been following the evolution on your work.
OK. Take this thread we´re in right now, for instance. People are asking for the Fixel guide!!! Why is that? It´s because it can´t be found easily.
Besides that, please, take a look on how this guide explains addthis: http://joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-fixel. Either I missed something important or thre´s no mention to JA Bookmark on it.2 users say Thank You to Luiz FernandoMolina for this useful post

September 25, 2013 at 4:03 pm #507066JA Fixel was released at the same point the guides were moved from the forums to the new docs website. As a result many were left looking for the documentation. It was always going to be a difficult transition for users but one JA hope many will appreciate. Before, only those with a current subscription could access the docs and this caused a lot of frustration. Now the docs are there for everyone and all in one place. Hopefully the sub-forums will be removed for new templates with docs but that has not happened yet. As for mention of the JA Bookmark plugin there is a list of plugins at the top in the introduction though I have to agree there is no link to the setup details. I will message the team via Skype and see if this can be addressed.

Hopefully you will be able to find everything you are looking for now.October 11, 2013 at 6:42 pm #508771I am new here as well and finding information on templates is tremendously confusing. Where are the module layouts of the website? I only found the module position schematic for the HOME page layout. What about all the other positions?
Editing your templates is not an easy process either. Simple items take so long to do and I’m very familiar with Joomla.

October 11, 2013 at 7:04 pm #508773What elements are taking a long time for you? With the layout editor of T3 and Theme Magic most adjustments can be done from the back end with a few clicks. Anything I can help with feel free to ask.
October 11, 2013 at 7:29 pm #508775I spent the better part of a day researching how to change the logo, have sidebar items appear, get the social icons at the top working, and now can’t find basic info as to where the module positions are for the site. I see the home page module positions but not the other ones. I had found it the other day and now cannot located it again. So frustrated that the info is all scattered around.
