October 28, 2008 at 11:25 pm #277320Do you want the images to come from a category or a folder?
Is the Category ID correct? (if you are taking them from a category or section)
Do you have images in the articles? You need an image to be there for it to pick up.
Try checking that stuff first, and if it doesn’t help… then hopefully someone more knowledgeable will help out.lizard Friendlizard

October 29, 2008 at 4:06 am #277345Not sure if you say you have done this …, but make sure your Module position is set to user5 – I overlooked this. And yes like pixeigal says check your category/section # – if you have it set to a folder there is a thread that talks about that – rather recent –

Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I have already set it to user5 and the images are coming from a test section I created (ID=5 and the section’s called “test”)My screenshot of the parameters is located at:
http://white-hot.co.uk/images/homepage/jaflowscreen.pngIf it wasn’t picking up the images wouldn’t it still show the box outline? There’s just a blank space. Also do any other modules have to be installed and configured for this to function?

Hi I wasn’t completely sure which element of the code to change, I’ve got the “content_xml.php” open. Which bit do I change to 777?
Thanks

October 30, 2008 at 5:35 pm #277536Ok I’ve managed to find out how to change the file to 777. All done.
JA Flowlist is still not showing up at all, room has been made for it but it’s just an empty space.
This is really annoying!
It should be displaying on the homepage http://www.white-hot.co.uk

can I check what you are attempting to do,
I gather that you have articles with pictures which you wish to display ?
If this is correct from your screenshot .These articles are stored in your joomla section which when you go to the joomla section manager are identified with an Id of 5. I believe that the images need to be the first images dispalyed in the article.
However I believe that you have your images in a folder and are attempting to display the folder images in the flowlist.
If this is what you are trying to achieve you need to set the first module parameter to flow list from folder.
Apologies if I have misunderstood you, it may be worth checking out this thread

Hi Thatch,
Thanks for replying, yeah I’ve got all the above in place. I think I’m going to just remove everything and start with a fresh install because something’s obviously not right as it’s not even displaying anything just a blank space.Hopefully I won’t have to go through this again.

October 30, 2008 at 8:54 pm #277549oh ouch the site is down.
We had some trouble with ours as well, at first. Mainly it was a little hard to understand the intsructions, but we got the basic idea. After some toying around it finally worked at http://www.shopwhittier.comiwankumara Friendiwankumara

Rob</blockquote>obd I.
We both have the same problem.
We do all your suggestion such as :
– change Chmod to 777
– double check the category ID
– try both folder & content system
– use “” and “/” to separate folders
– bla–bla -bla..But the display still shows blank…
can you help us please?:((:((:((:((:((

Hi, I’m really sorry but I had to leave JA Labra because there wasn’t enough time to mess around with JA Flowlist. Couldn’t get it working so switched templates.
