I’m still having IE 6 transparancy problems. If anyone can tell me what to chage that would be wonderful or I’ll have to change templates!
Any suggestions are welcome!

January 30, 2008 at 1:17 am #237610What’s not showing? And if it is a .png problem can it be corrected by making it a .jpeg?

Here is the screen shot of what IE6 does to the top part. The nice white bar/top border does not show up in the menu at the top.

January 30, 2008 at 3:03 am #237613I’m a little confused. When I look at your site it is green but in your example it is blue. I couldn’t find where to change the color. Is there an area to change the color? This could be a CSS issue depending on what your answer is.

January 30, 2008 at 3:26 am #237614Dear hearts, you can easy fix this problem by using this tutorial: http://komodomedia.com/blog/index.php/2007/11/05/css-png-image-fix-for-ie/

The screen shot was when it was the default. I changed it to ‘green’. The IE6 transparency was happening with both color versions.

I made those changes but in IE 6 if you go to http://www.hearts-at-home.net it still has problems but if you go to http://hearts-at-home.net leaving out the ‘www’ it fixes the transparancy problem. What should I do? Is a re-direct the answer to the IE 6 transparency problem?

Which of the url’s did you select to be your Live Site URL?
February 4, 2008 at 5:05 am #238137http://www.hearts-at-home.net …. is what I entered for the non-profit site URL in Joomlart. I will add that this is a ‘test’ URL that I have directing. I have not moved the current site’s real name DNS info: http://www.hearts-at-home.org

February 4, 2008 at 5:34 am #238138I meant in the Joomla Administration area of your website. Under the Global Configuration select the Server Tab and on the 2nd line it says Live Site: and a url is listed. What is it?

I had choosen without the ‘www’ now I have that in. It works now when you type in the www in the URL but without it, it still has transparency problems in IE6

February 5, 2008 at 9:08 pm #238293Just leave it at www and don’t worry about it beyond that. If it is a concern then you would have to write a redirect file to make sure everyone goes to the www.
