Hi
I’m having trouble in configuring the JA Google Map. Regardless of my configuration I’m only able to get the map to show an address in New York. The Police Dept. that is!!!
I’m trying to configure it through the plugin. Is there another way?
Yours

January 7, 2016 at 2:53 am #840584Hi
You need to select the Location checkbox in the JA Google map plugin and then copy the code from code container and use it in your custom html map module .
At present on your contact page its also giving Map API key error , kindly re create a valid API key and add it in map plugin so Map will run on your site.February 25, 2016 at 6:06 pm #890468Hi ‘
I’m sorry for the time-lapse… But now I need to finish this job… I have change the api – and it seems to be working. But still I only get a grey rectangel instead of the desired map… Would U please take a look – and try to explain, what I’m doing wrong…Yours

February 26, 2016 at 1:45 am #890650Hi
I checked the contact page and its still showing the API key error : http://prntscr.com/a8015a
I also tried to take backup of site of your site to check the issue on localhost but Enable to do it .
Kindly correct the API key first and if its not solve the issue . Take a full backup (Akeeba )of site and provide the download url of backup file , I will test the issue on local server .Sometime the issue is from server side when map not showing the location like here So i need to test it on local system.March 9, 2016 at 12:00 pm #897186Hi again.
Is there some kind of special choices you have to make in order to get a correct api key… I can’t seem to get the right key?Another question:
The frontpage layout copies the username and puts in an expanded grey-box in the top of the page.. Look at the attached image…
How do I remove the user name in the top box… I don’t think it looks good with that extended black box as the username is part of the post-login box in the middle of the page…
And if the name can’t be moved, how do decrease the height of the box….
