Whenever I do a google search for ‘scuupng.com’ or ‘scuup’, the website url comes up but I have the default meta description that was set on JA Hawkstore appear as opposed the the websites details I saved on my global configuration. Is there a way I can hardcode the meta description so that the details that will appear on search engines are the ones I set and not the default templates meta description?
you can do a google search on ‘www.scuupng.com’ to read more on what I am talking about.

You can change meta and description on your site here

Go to Admin -> Menus -> Main menu -> edit Home -> Metadata Options tabs -> change Meta Description and Meta Keywords, see the screenshot

Thanks. I have changed it and its about 30 minutes now since the meta information has been changed on the Home menu option. It still does not reflect on a google search. how much longer should I wait to be able to view the changes made? I am sure there is a normal worst case scenario time.

After changing this will not show immediately on google site. It will be updated in the next crawl and crawl rates are different for each site, with low traffic sites or static sites, crawl rates are low but you can check it from google webmaster tools got info for this.
