May 20, 2014 at 2:35 am #197966Hello,
the included Virtuemart search module is very inconsistent on my site.
I read somewhere in this forum that the problem is with VM so there was no support for vm search mod. Ok some user posted here that Rok Ajax Search was a better alternative and working fine.
I’ve tried to upload and test the rok ajax search module to ja hawkstore with no success.
1. the module installation message is that the install was successful.
2. however, the ajax search module does not show in the hawkstore module manager…anywhere. Is there a reason for this? How can I get the module to display so I can configure and test it as all other modules
Please advise.
Thanks

What does “very inconsistent” mean? Can you describe it in a more detail? I’ve run a few searches on your store front and found nothing wrong?
Regards,
Alex

May 20, 2014 at 11:55 pm #535976Well … some times the searches work and some times they do not. I have a product there for a friend of mine named,
david murray. I try the search many ways small caps, large etc… but the vm search will not display that result. This happens with others also.romello Friendromello

May 21, 2014 at 12:40 am #535979Hello,
I think I’ve solved the problem…The issue for me seems to fixed when I added the meta tittle, description and tags on the products that were previously not showing in the search results. This is working for now.
Thank you for your assistance.
Regards,
Romello
