Hello everyone, I know very little about Joomla. I had a Mambo site that worked for me once I got the hang of it. I want to put up a few web sites on my server. I am self taught with a little help from a friend. He knows a little, but I am going in a direction he has no experience. First of all, I want to thank you for the tremendous work and support. This is awesome. Even though this is not easy, I will try to learn this code or script. Please help me as I learn.

Right now I have a problem with JA Wistery Artistic in the JA Header Module. I am trying to get the photos to show up. I can find the images in the directory, but after the module was installed, I hit a wall. What do I have to do to correct the errors. If you go to the site, you will see the error message in the header. It reads as follows…

Warning: opendir(/home/e-smith/files/ibays/excellence/html/templates/ja_antares/images/header): failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/e-smith/files/ibays/excellence/html/modules/mod_ja_header.php on line 49

Warning: readdir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/e-smith/files/ibays/excellence/html/modules/mod_ja_header.php on line 51

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hi Mate
    Welcome to Joomla,
Your problem is the ja-header module was originally made for the ja antares template.

The name of the ja antares template is hard coded into the module, when you install the module it thinks its still in the ja antares template, you have to manually change the folder name to ja wistery, basically change the instance of ja antares to ja wistery and the pathing will be right, as you may not yet be familiar with a lot of Joomla stuff I made two small screenshots for you.

One is an FTP tree view showing the correct place to find the header images ( you will need to replace these with your own ones, I’d suggest you use the same names as the default and just overwrite).

The other is a screenshot of the actual module parameters/entry screen with the correct path you need to insert in an expanded view in notepad next to the field to replace . note the path shown says ja xenia as thats the template I’m using the module in just substitute ja wistery for whatever you have there
I’m sorry if the module view looks small and squished its a limitation of the attachments size wise 🙂

Hope this gets you up and running
my site under development is here using the Xenia template

Yeaaa! That worked like a charm. Thank you for the fix. Wonder why they did not say that when the instructions had me download the module? I am ready to tackle something else. I have four sites at one time to do. Kind of a big project. 😎

I will go to your site now to see what you have done. Then I am going to make more configuration changes in mine. Talk back at you soon mate.

    You Rock,

    Bez
