hi im using Xenia and currently what i did was to install ja header module successfully and pointed to an image folder /header with images in, it works fine and this module only appears on the homepage.
what i need to do is to have different ja header modules for different pages and what i did was:
1. copied the module and renamed it “ja header 2” and pointed the image folder to /header2 with images in.
after publishing it, the page which is supposed to load ha header 2 (with its own set of images) still loads ja header module (/header), can anyone advise on how i can install multiple instances of ja header for different pages each using its own directory of images?
Also, i realised that when the first link of the main menu is set to joomla cms’s default site, for e.g., if your first link is call “home”, when loading domain.com/index.php, it will point to home, but if your first link is called “about us”, when loading domain.com/index.php, it will point to “about us”, i would like to be able to set the page “home” as the default homepage but i would like it to be placed at the last of the navigation bar, can anyone advice on this?
many thanks!

April 12, 2007 at 8:57 pm #217833Hi,
Did you assign the JA-Header module to be published only on the menu-item “Home”. And assign JA-Header2 module to be published only on the menu-item “About us” etc. ?
Kind Regards,
Peter.
April 13, 2007 at 12:48 pm #217905Hi,
I´m afraid the JA Header Module can’t be duplicated (I guess settings for one will overrule settings for the copy).
I´ve tried as a substitute:
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,156/Itemid,35/
(best control, but I had some layout problems on Internet Explorer)I´m now using:
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,1080/Itemid,35/
(duplicated many times, has an unique ID parameter, and I pointed it to different folders)HTH,

</blockquote>Hi Alexandre,
It could be done with JA-Header too. I tried it and tested it. Only thing is that I got problems when using the flash-variant. But when I use the JavaScript Fade Slideshow variant, it worked smoothly. You only have to point both modules to different image-folders.
Kind Regards,

Hi Peter, sorry for the late reply, i tried what you mentioned but different copying all the modules and assigning them to different pages, all of them load the same set of images.
I was trying to play around with this, since its too much trouble, i guess i will do w/o it. What i might do might use different modules (static images) for this.

April 13, 2007 at 6:55 pm #217918Hi xaby,
You have to make for every copy of the modules a different image-folder. In this folder you have to copy the images you want to show for that exact page. And in the modules you have to point to this folders. Than it must work.
Kind Regards,
Peter. -
