Suppose I have a site using Docman, with categories and files etc preuploaded.
Now, if I install JA Intranet (not quickstart) do I get the DocMan styling too? like I am seeing in the demo http://ja-intranet.demo.joomlart.com/index.php/en/tree-table

Hello Mr.Lal, Template is coming with the style of this extension too , but you need to make configurations again to make it like in demo site . You can see the style file in /css/extras/com_docman.css file And the override of layout files in the /html/com_docman folder in this template .
