Actually, it was! The file was there but it was corrupted. Now it looks fine. Thank you!November 15, 2007 at 8:30 am #232866<em>@Menalto 29414 wrote:</em><blockquote>I have the fix for it somewhere around here in my computer;)</blockquote>
Why can’t this newsflash issue be fixed??? First content item shows, then it fades into white.

Hello,I’m having the same problem. I’ve tried all the suggestions posted for making this module work but all to no avail.
Has anyone at JoomlArt come up with a solution? I’ve got this module loaded on several sites and none of them work. I’ve just given up in frustration. Seems like there are a lot of members out there experiencing the same thing.
If anyone out there has found the “magic bullet” I’d be most grateful for your feedback and remedies.
The site is http://www.yourgreenplumber.com but we have it offline right now. I can supply user ID and password via private message but not on the forum
November 19, 2007 at 11:56 pm #233119Based on this thread it seems that JA Newsflash is not yet fixed. You can download the JA Newsflash of JA Mageia to fix the problem.
November 27, 2007 at 6:04 pm #233545i have installed the JA_Newsflash from the Mageia template and it fixed the problem of showing more than the first news in firefox but there is still the problem that in ie 6 and 7 the news doesn’t rotate at all. can somebody help me?

The Newsflash shows only the first item and no more :-(((December 30, 2007 at 7:42 pm #235456The typography section above talks about a magazine style drop cap but doesn’t illustrate HOW to use it. I’ve got Iris installed and I’m not seeing any drop caps.
I’m beginning to suspect that the version of Iris available for download is not the same version in the demo. The demo also has content header colors based on the chosen default color, but in reality I had to manually set my content header colours.

December 30, 2007 at 7:50 pm #235458You can use drop cap in a very simple way: Just choose the letter, you want to make a drop cap in the editor and choose “drop cap” from the CSS style section.

Hrm. I’m using Wysiwyg Pro and don’t see a CSS style section. I tried switching to TinyMCE and “no editor” and don’t see any “drop cap” style.
I’ll check the CSS and figure it out…
January 6, 2008 at 6:56 pm #235915Where is the typography.css file referenced on line 78 of the Iris index.php file?
Succes.

February 9, 2008 at 5:26 pm #2387472. Menu Types Configuration
JA iris offers you 4 types of our traditional menu. The menus applied are JA Split Menu, JA Suckerfish Menu, Moo Menu and JA DropLine Menu.
You can view the menu in action hereTo choose your menu type, go to the 32nd line in the “ja_iris/index.php” and change $ja_menutype to what you need.
1 is Split Menu, 2 is Suckerfish Menu, 3 is Moo Menu, 4 is Dropline Menu—
I have just installed ja_iris 1.5. The instructions say go to $ja_menutype in ja_iris/index.php. But in my version of the index.php file, at least, there is no such line or text. Any thoughts about what to do?. Thanks in advance.
February 22, 2008 at 9:05 am #239795check it out /templates/ja_iris/params.ini file
you can change the menu type there too.AuthorPostsThis topic contains 48 replies, has 26 voices, and was last updated by vetdoktor1975 14 years, 11 months ago.
