November 4, 2012 at 3:56 pm #181939Hi all,
I have implemented the JA Slideshow component in a JA Ironis template in such a way that it shows the images of a specific articles category (called “slideshowarticles”) plus the first part of the text of those articles (see screenshot 1); when I click on the “read this entry” button in the slideshow, then the article appears (which is Ok of course), but then the slideshow disappears (which is not Ok, but not such a problem) and at the top of the article a label “articles” appears with a small orange triangle looking icon (see screenshot 2) which I tried to get rid of in vain, so my question is: how can I suppress this “articles” label?
Thanks in advance for your help

November 5, 2012 at 9:08 am #471921Hi Wvdongen,
Pls go to thread http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-side-news-more-info-links-broken/ where you can get solution for this issue. About “Articles” text, it is only page heading of menu.

November 5, 2012 at 11:58 am #471951Hi HeR0,
Thanks for your suggestion. I followed the solution of the other post, but it doesn’t entirely solve my issue:
I have implemented a “hidden menu” and connected the category “slideshowarticles” to it, but that still gives me the problem that I showed in my previous post in screenshot JAIronisSlideshowIssue1.jpg, so: the “articles”-label with the orange triangle when I click on “Read this Entry”.
However, when I link all pages of the category “slideshowarticles” like in the screenshot JAIronisSlideshowIssue3.jpg which I have attached to this post, then I do get rid of the “articles”-label with the orange triangle and then I even see the full slideshow again (see the screenshot JAIronisSlideshowIssue4.jpg which I have attached to this post).
When you compare the navigation bar of the screenshots JAIronisSlideshowIssue1.jpg (my previous post) and JAIronisSlideshowIssue4.jpg (this post) then you see that the focus in the second one is not on “Home” anymore, which indicates that it ‘looks’ at the “hidden menu” for displaying the slideshowarticles. So this means that the link “Read this Entry” somehow isn’t connected to the “hidden menu” …
So the problem still remains …

November 6, 2012 at 3:06 am #471993Hi Wvdongen,
There is another menu pointed to the category or you have assigned slideshow module to display on all pages,…pls check Slideshow module setting.
In this case, you should disable SEF for getting Itemid which will help you can detect menu which the page ( article details ) is pointing.

November 6, 2012 at 11:22 am #472055Hi HeR0,
Thanks again for your suggestions.
I checked and no, there’s no other menu pointed to the category “slideshowarticles” and I do have assigned the slideshow module settings properly (it is assigned to all public main menu items, including the hidden menu to which I have assigned the category “slideshowarticles”).
However, your suggestion to check the link to the articles (SEF was already off) showed me an odd thing:
There’s one difference in the link to the “December-Object”-page accessed via the “Read this Entry”-link in the slideshow (the screenshot JAIronisSlideshowIssue1.jpg from my first post) and via the link in the “Objects of the Month”-item (the screenshot JAIronisSlideshowIssue3.jpg from my second post):
the fist link is:
/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=67;december-object&catid=62:slideshowarticles&Itemid=279
and this leads to the display of the page without the whole slideshow shown and with the label “Articles” plus the orange trianglethe second link is:
/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=67;december-object&catid=62:slideshowarticles&Itemid=279
which leads to the correct display of the page (including the whole slideshow and without the “Articles”-label plus triangle)So it looks to me like the HTML entity of the ampersand in the code for the “Read more”-parameter of the JA Slideshow is not correct?

November 6, 2012 at 10:16 pm #472083Hi all,
I have found out that it’s a general Joomla “ampersand-bug” and I have fixed it using this plugin:
