The last stable version released of K2 is for Joomla 1.7 so i think that joomlaworks had tested their component with the

Joomla 1.7 version before the official release

I cannot say the same for the Ja_Ironis template.

The first Joomlart template tested and released for the last version of K2 for Joomla 1.7 is Ja_Tiris

anyway this does not mean that you cannot install the k2 component on Ja_Ironis in fact we are speaking of two

products tested as stand alone products and the compatibility can be solved on the fly of your developing site

if you want install the k2 component on an active site then i think that is not a good solution

Please try to update the k2 template for ja ironis+joomla 1.7 as soon as possible we are eagerly waiting for it .
on the other hand gravick pro has updated all his template k2 compatible. please you also update all your template for k2 .
Can you provide us how much time you needed to update the ja ironis to be joomla 1.7 k2 compatible
