I don’t think you could classify yourself as being impatient with a template that was supposed to released in October.

November 6, 2009 at 10:05 am #322764Have to admit I thought this template was already out; I saw all the instruction posts and assumed that download was available.
Can only once again apologise to you all for the delay, I’m 100% sure JA are doing all they can to get it out as fast as possible, Hopefully a more official announcement will follow

November 6, 2009 at 11:41 am #322774Hi Phil,
To be honest, JA is not responding to any reasonable questions in any posts. Right now, as a longstanding member, having supported JA in the past as a great club with good support, I have found that there’s no support whatsoever anymore.
Have you seen any decent documentation for T3 yet, for example? You know how many are waiting for this, don’t understand what T3 is?
I have posted about this asking for any input several times, but nope, JA doesn’t even bother to respond in any way to such valid questions. To me this proves that JA doesn’t care. It takes 10 secs to post something. So “we are busy” is no excuse. 🙂 Or perhaps they “don’t like me” for asking something or giving my opinion? Do I have to “behave” first to get an answer? 😉
T3 is supposed to be the excuse for the october template. it is the only excuse for the november template. There’s nothing special about it otherwise. Oh yeah, the megamenu. Well…
And if we look at the november template, I get tears in my eyes because of the total lack of module positions. It’s like going back two years. Is the solution T3? Someone tell me what that means please? 🙂
Cheers,

November 6, 2009 at 5:03 pm #322783Have to admit . . . I’m starting to become disappointed in Hung’s lack of apparent interest in member inquiry/concern as well. In the past (as many of you know) I have defended the delays of template releases and such. However, this template section has been up for about two weeks now – with many comments, suggestions and inquiries within several of the threads. With the exception of drarvindc and mcphil . . . Hung and/or the Development Team have been silent.
I really hope this isn’t a “let them eat cake” situation where the voice of the membership isn’t deemed important to Hung and/or the Dev Team. I was really hoping to get started with this template this weekend.

November 6, 2009 at 8:19 pm #322796Hi Tom & Everyone,
Please excuse for my absent today on updating, this is something I & the team have been working hard today. The download was uploaded about 20 minutes ago.
Let me know if you still want a release of the original design. After the official November template, give me & the team 2 or 3 weeks then it will be shifted FREE to your desktop
I hope I can have smiles from you guys.
@tom: I listen to your concerns, forgive me when can’t monitor forum as much as I wish. Thank you. 😉

November 6, 2009 at 9:19 pm #322806Just my opinion, my I actually do like the original demo release. I like the menu better, the colors, the search bar, the side ads. The one thing I do prefer with the new version is the revamp of the slideshow graphic with the sidebar.
Isn’t there a way you can offer up both at this time? Seems like you had the original pretty much done/ready. Why would it take another 2-3 weeks to offer up?
Also, the color-switcher doesn’t seem to be working (at least for me) with the new one.

November 6, 2009 at 10:20 pm #322813Just trying to figure out what was wrong with the original demo that we would have to wait 1-2 weeks for you to release it. Can you not simply make it into a quickstart and load it up for those of us who liked it and were anxiously awaiting it’s release (before the “version 2 switch”)?

Yah, I know . . . It’s just that this is the first time I’ve felt actual disappointment in JA. They teased us with a template many of us liked, and then they just switched up on us with one that – in my opinion – isn’t as good. THEN they tell us that we would have to wait another 1-2 weeks (at least) for the original one that was up in the first place. I’m sorry, but that simply doesn’t make a lick of sense to me.
Kyanite I was up and running – why can’t it be made available now?

November 7, 2009 at 10:04 pm #322904Hi all,
I actually prefer the first demo, the darker (grey) colours make the template look much more powerfull. Another thing I liked with the first demo was that the modules published in the left and right position weren’t all different boxes, but located in one ‘main body’.
The dark coloured footer and bottom-modules are also more favorite to me!

November 7, 2009 at 10:09 pm #322905Sorry, forgot one thing:
The slideshow from the first demo is more powerfull in my eyes, because the picture is much bigger. It would be great to have this slideshow, but with transparancy in the text boxes.
The first demo (with some colour variations?) is definately usable for me. The modifications for the new demo makes the template less usable for me.
Bye,

November 8, 2009 at 10:55 pm #322976Hi Hung,
Great to hear from you, thanks for responding! 🙂 Kyanite II is a wonderful improvement, well done!
One thing: Perhaps you can still explain more about the T3 framework? As Kyanite II still has limited module positions, while T3 is supposed to solve that; any decomentation / explanation would be very helpful. Really hope you can get to that soon.
Keep up the great work!
