Ok, so I’m having issues with ja Login and Community Builder.

I couldn’t use the CB login form effectively with Ja Erica, as it wouldn’t fit in the dropdown login form at the top of the page. So, I worked around it by changing the code. Now, the JaLogin module points to the CB login/registration links. I thought all was cool.

But, I’ve noticed people “half” registering on the site. They were bypassing the CB registration. I couldn’t figure it out.

Then I discovered that if someone arrives by a link that is restricted to registered members, the original Joomla login module appears, asking them to login, request lost password, orregister. All of these links are connected to the old Joomla login module…

So, what happens is people think they register, but they don’t.

Any idea how to get around this? Does anyone know where I can find the code to change this?

    Thanks

I think the same would also happen when you use the CB Login, as it hasn’t something to do with the module used. There are some extensions for CB or Joomla that avoid those things happening, do not know where exactly, just look over http://extensions.joomla.org

Well, I went straight to Joomla…and after a few minutes I almost gave up…I wasn’t even sure if it existed.

Then I found it! It works beautifully. No more weird registrations. I just wish I hadn’t deleted all the people who registered that eay…I thought they were robots. Oops!

Quote: This plugin is used to redirect all registration and password reminder requests from the Joomla core to Community Builder. Install this and set the settings in the Plugin Manager. When enabled all requests will be redirected. Very usefull for preventing backdoor registrations and forcing CB captcha. Also usefull when using other login modules designed for the core registration and user management. Works with Legacy mode both off and on. Please post a review with your oppinion.
