Its seems sample data is not installed .
if you wish
you can PM me admin details i can check it that sample data is installed or not .

i also checked, sample data is already installed..

Sorry but without proper information i can not tell you the reason .
i suggest you to download a fresh copy of quickstart and install .
follow these instruction
http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/other/quickstart-installation
don`t forget to install sample data .
