January 6, 2010 at 1:03 am #328340Here is how I did it to add the member login(after followign the instructions above):
1. Add the login module via the new button in module manager
2. Go into the module and type in the position mega-item and save(not meta-item which may be there already)
3. Once this is done, the position mega-item will be available for the megamenu module on the right hand side.1 user says Thank You to designs for this useful post

You can see all positions in your website with this link: http://www.yourdomain.com/tp=1

I’ve tried and it doesn’t work. Is there a simple way to see the positions of the modules and their content? When I first saw Teline III it was a work of art. But I’m afraid that I’ll ruin it by putting my contents in the wrong place. I tried to put in a news feed and it screwed things up so I took it down. Work of art, but it’s not very good if we can’t figure out how to use it and which module fits where and does what.

February 25, 2010 at 7:08 am #333808Hi janabetis
the menu is integrated into our template. it is not a position of Joomla. For the reason, if you want to move mega menu to this place, you have to define a new position at that place.
Hope it helps

Do we type “megamenu” or “mega-item” on the “select a position” box?
Do you mean, when “megamenu” is typed, in other modules, there would be a selection called “mega-item”? If so, it doesn’t appear. I selected “megamenu” for the twitter module but it just messed up the page.

Got the sames issue ..is there is anything else that we can do?March 4, 2010 at 8:59 am #334804I want to use the megamenu instead the magazine menu, (like the Kyanite II or Rasite template). Is it possible? If yes, how I make?

March 4, 2010 at 10:35 am #334822Hi kmikol
With teline iii, we don’t support mega menu like other templates.
You have to spend a lot of time to change to your idea. I am sorry for not being of much help in the case.
March 4, 2010 at 11:33 am #334830Do you thing that you make this possibility in the future?

Do you thing that you make this possibility in the future?

I do not think we shall add mega menu for JA Teline III in the time to come as it looks fine now. In fact, JA templates and design concept is just a suggestion/typical instance for your website. You can use our tem on as-is basis or do any customization to fit your specific need.If you are not familiar with programming, I think you’s d better pay someone to do this for you. Joomlancers.com might be a good freelance site to consider
March 12, 2010 at 8:49 pm #336004@sushismb 145116 wrote:
1) After installing JA mega menu, go to backend extensions – modules.
2) On your left – In the “positon” box, type “megamenu”. Yes, you have to type it in there as is.
3) On your right – In the “select position” select “mega-items”. If you don’t see it here, save first after you’ve done 2), exit, then go back. It should be there by then. So now you can select “mega-items”.
4) Now, whatever you want to be placed in MEGAMENU portion, you should select the position “mega-item” from the drop down box. Let’s say for the Twitter module that came with this template … from backend, extensions – modules- JA Twitter Module For Joomla 1.5.x. On your left, select the position from the drop down menu “mega-item”.
This should work.

Hi… For some reason I just can’t allocate the “meta-item” in the Module Parameters while editing the megamenu module. I did all the above suggestions and did try “Top” position Module Parameters and still nothing. Any other recommendations?
Many thanks

IT WORKED!!!
I did what is uninstall them and reinstall megamenu first then twitter module. I then activated the megamenu module 1st as you guys said and then twitter.
P.S. I also typed in “megamenu” as you suggested and had to wait for few minutes after saving.
Thanks anyway!
