We are working on a website that we plan to use K2 to enhance the site’s content. We want to provide a rich search and filtering environment for the user. Can Megafilter handle all the functions of K2 Filter or is there a role for both? Thanks in advance.

No, of course JA K2 Filter will be more advance than Megafilter:
JA K2 Filter can be:

• Use in Large site, handle large number data.
• Have some feature like: pre-filter, depend filter.
• Support for Multicategories (categories created in JA K2 Filter)
  JA Megafilter:
• Use in Medium site.
• Filter faster.
• Easy to config.
