I already have Joomla 2.5 installed on my client’s website. I want to install the Ja Mero template. I downloaded just the template, and have the file “ja_mero.v1.0.0.zip” that I tried to install through Extensions manager, upload package file. When I upload the file, it gives me an “unable to find install package” error. I don’t see an install.php file in the download. Is the file too large to upload via my client’s server through “upload package file”? It is difficult to get access to their server to upload the files through their FTP.

    Hi brennac,

I already installed JA Mero template on my dev hosting, it worked well.
Pls let download & install it again. If not, send me the admin/ftp account of your client’s site. I mean both accounts.

    Regards,

    Leo

Could you tell me how you installed it? The template alone? I am not permitted to give out their FTP, etc…signed an NDA.

    Hi brennac,

It’s not problem with over-size install package, I confirm again. There are 2 options for your client’s site:
    1. New site without any content:
You can instal our quickstart package looks like our demo. Then changes sth you want.
    2. Existing site with content:
You can install this template as usual. But, be sure that you aslo install our T3v2 Plugins, because our JA Mero template is built on T3v2.

    Regards,

When I try to install through Extensions Manager, Package File, I get the error message “unable to find install package”. Does this work if I’m installing on a Linux server?

    Hi brennac,

I have searched a solution that can help you:
It’s related to your sever limits.
    1. Download & extract ja_mero.v1.0.0.zip
    2. Copy extracted folder to your_client_site/tmp on server
    3. Then paste the path to “Install from Directory” section and Install it.

Announce me if you did it !

    Regard,

    Leo

Hello! Ok i will try that tomorrow when I am on site and have access to their server again. I had tried that, but just put the .zip file there, I did not know that it had to be extracted. THANK YOU!
