Hey all, post # 2. Im trying to upload, unzip the Quickstart for JA Mesolite. It says its 11MB. Its not uploading.
I dont know where to upload the files that Ive unzipped on my computer (MAC) via godaddy FTP tool. Do I put the files in Templates folder ? Do I out them in Root ? Do I put them in Administrator ?
Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all replies.

August 19, 2008 at 2:08 am #265952Hi
plz upload and install quickstart like a clean joomla
you download package, unzip, you will have 3 folders are: Quickstart, Extensions and Template. Upload zip file quickstart in Quickstart folder to your server into folder what you want to install via FTP. Then you login Cpanel, go to File Manager, unzip that file in that folder -> you install like a clean joomla (include install sample data)

August 19, 2008 at 2:38 am #265959godaddy does not work like that, they don’t have a cpanel and they cannot upload and unzip files, godaddy also has a proprietary file structure that causes problems. I just went through this with another site.
I’m going to put together a tutorial, godaddy has a shared site hosting setup where all sites are set up in the same directory. thats bad.
Its complicated for a novice. If you want to pm me, I will set it up for you.
godaddy is not joomla friendly

August 19, 2008 at 11:22 am #266031mj1256, I just cancelled my hosting with godaddy. Im going to sign up with Rochen as soon as I can. I downloaded the Mesolite to my drive. As soon as I can I try and start the upload process. If you or others have exact details, I certainly would appreciate those steps. Anyway, I’ll be looking at this and other post’s for instructions. I want this to be done right so as not to have issues later.
Ok thanks again for your time.
