    Hi,

I created a new contact Himangi on your site to test the mailing but nothing happened with Ja Methys template. This is definitely not a template issue, since i checked it using Beez default template, which gave me following error.
<blockquote>Language string failed to load: invalid_address: You must provide at least one recipient email address.
Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/content/t/x/t/txt007/html/components/com_contact/controllers/contact.php on line 114</blockquote>
It seems a mailer problem to me. Could you please check if there is anything you can find on http://forum.joomla.org/ regarding this issue.

    Hi Himangi,
    thanks for your reply.

I google and searching in joomla forum… couldn’t find a solution that sort out my “contact form not sending emails” 🙁 When I was under joomla 1.5 with JA seleni, i had no problem with contact form sending out emails correctly.

BTW: how to make the “date styled to display in the colored circle” appear on my site? thanks

    Himangi,

I tested with Fox Contact form and it works! see drtran.ca
But it doesn’t work with the default contact form coming with Quickstart installation.

So, where do you think the problem might come from? The Fox contact doesn’t have the same design as the JA Methys template design… 🙁

    thanks

    Hi,

Thanks you for reporting the issue. This issue has been raised as a bug in JA Methys quickstart. You can check the debug status of this in http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/JATCMETHYSJ16-82

    Hi

Just an update on my bullet issues…

I’m now using the JA Typo button to insert ‘bulleted’ lists. This is resulting in great bullets when and where I need them.

Just ensure you upload the Typo image folder in a J1.6 install as the JA Typo button looks for the various graphic elements in the ../images/typo/ directory.

This seems a bit easier than the various code mods I’ve seen, but I don’t really understand why they have been coded out?

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Thanks stuaforr,
Thanks for your advice. it’s nice. But my page seems to have the other half bugged….

    http://drtran.ca/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=129:medical-house-calls&catid=89&Itemid=504

I don’t know why the telephone icon appears instead of the first letter of the sentence… Dropcaps and blocknumber are displayed correctly.

I cannot see a bullt issue on your site now. Can you post a screenshot showing me what you are seeing?

Before you do that please clear all your browsers caches and temp internet files then clear the joomla cache and especially the jat3 cache.

    Hi txt007

Your code seems to be corrupted with an incorrect class and the addition of icon styles within the ‘star’ list. Try the following…

<p><span class="dropcap">F</span>ind a medical clinic available to see patient is a pain. After hours, it is even worse. Most of medical clinics are closed. Many physicians become unavailable. The still-opened ER services are crowded and waiting time is unbearable.</p>
    <p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Solution?</span> </strong>You can have your health problem treated in the comfort of your living room. <strong>Dr Tran Inc.</strong> offers you medical house-calls, even after-hours<span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>.</strong></span><br /> <br /> <br /><strong>No more wasting time...</strong></p>
    <p> </p>
    <ul class="starlist">
<li>Wondering who could babysit your other children</li>
<li>Preparing and not forgetting all the necesaries (diaper, milk, clothes, ...) for your sick child</li>
<li>Driving to the ER in the cold or hot weather</li>
<li>Jamming in the traffic while being sick or having your sick beloved or child crying in your car</li>
    <li>Looking for a difficully available parking lot</li>
<li>Waiting hours and hours not knowing when your turn-be-seen will be</li>
    </ul>
    <p> </p>
    <p><span style="color: #808080;"><strong><span style="font-size: 8pt;"><em>Note: </em></span></strong></span></p>
<p class="blocknumber blocknumber-3"><span class="bignumber">a</span><em>Should your medical condition require in-patient, urgent or emergent treatment, Dr Tran Inc. medical officer will adequately refer you to the nearest hospital.</em></p>
<p class="blocknumber blocknumber-3"><span class="bignumber">b</span><em>House-call fees doesn't include eventual prescribed medication. You will need to buy your prescribed medication at the pharmacy of your convenience.</em></p>
    <p> </p>

I’ve simply used my editor and JA Typo button to update your code from your web page

    🙂

    Hi txt007

You need to ensure that the option to show the publish date is switched on.

You can set this in three places…

In the articles overall or global options
At an article level within the parameter settings on the right
On the menu item parameters, again within the options on the right

    Hope that helps 🙂

    Thanks stuaforr,
I understood that part, but the problem is that JA Methys doesn’t give me the result as expected (as the demo)

here is the result. see files attached

    Hi txt007,

The date which is not showing up like demo is because you have changed styling for .article-tools and .ja_socialbeforecontent in template.css. If you remember, I had given you these changes because you wanted to display JA social icons and Email, print etc details on the same line. Revert the changes and the date will show up like demo.

    Hope this solves your issue..

    Hi Himangi,
I wasn’t able to get that “styled date” even before I modified my template.css with your code. I have reversed it now. As you can see on my site: drtran.ca the date is not styled as the demo… it is not on simple articles nor featured articles

I don’t get why it is so ..

    thanks

    Hi,

Please check your site and tell me if it looks as you want.

To achieve this I edited the Home menu item and changed Show Create Date option to Show from Use Articles Settings in Articles Options tab.
In Page Display Options tab, Page Class is set as -featured

Please note that the pink circle for date applied for Create Date only. All other dates, that is Last Updated / Published date etc are shown normally as you can see in your articles…

If you want to apply the same styling for other category blogs, make the same changes as above in the respective menu items.
