    Hi,
I have just installed your JA Multilingual component and its excellen! After years of using Joomfish (that was vwry good too) I see your different aproach very, very useful – congratulations and thank you.

I have only one strange problem.

    Here is my workflow:
    – I have installed demended languages in standard way (BEFORE installing JA Multilingual)
    – so I had all languages
    – then I have created all content languages
    – I have installed JA Multilingual, set Bing (no problem)
    – translatting began without problems, so I have full content translated – all menus, articles, modules, etc. – excellent

    HOWEVER:
    – when I checked Joomla Multilangue Status module, I saw that my content languages are duplicated !
    – for example I have 4 German content languages instead of 1
    – I also checked content languages to confirm, and yes, there are 4 versions of every language ! with the same ID.

So, does it mean that JA Multilingual creates content languages when started, even if there are these content languages installed manually? I could not find this information in documentation, may be I missed something?
What should I do now? should I remove these additional version, is it safe? and which versions?

Please look at enclosed screen shots.
I would be very thankful for some suggestion.

    Best regards,
    Yaro

    Hi Yaro,

Whenever JA Multilingual translate any item, it will be saved to the database, from there on, the component can handle new item. But in case you had your own article in another language, the component cannot recognize it and will create a duplicated content in first run.

    Hi Adam,

thank you very much for your answer.
I do understand what you mean, its clear for me.
However, my question is not about content itself, but content languages – please look at screen shots.
For some reason content languages are duplicated, this is my question.
    Why CONTENT LANGUAGES are replicated?

    Thanks,
    Yaro

    Hello,

By default, JA Multilingual only create Content Language if it is not created before.
It might other extension override work flow of multilingual feature of Joomla, so something work incorrectly as default.

Please do not use Multilingual status module to check, you should instead open directly Language Manager page >> Tab Content, and tell me how many content languages there.

    Hi Dead Code,

I have no other extension connected to languages. This strange problem appeared afer use of JA Multilingual.
May be I should state that I have used JA Multilingual function 2-3 times when testing – when translation was ready, I deleted it, then translated again, just for testing.
BUT: content languages were created before this, manually.

Ok, I checked again languages in “Language Manager page >> Tab Content” – please look at screen shot.
As you see, dafault language is Polish, second published language is Croatian (HR), other languages are translated with JA Multilingual, but still not published (will be corrected by translators).

Thank you very much for help
    Yaro
