This may have already been raised but a quick skim of the threads dosent yield anything I can see similar.

A couple of days ago I created some articles and JA News 2 seems to reflect those articles ok on the index page view, since then newer articles have been created in the categories, and the settings for some of those categories are to order newest first.

While the categories themselves seem to reflect the ordering ok when viewed directly the index page display continues to show only the excerpt of the original articles created originally a few days ago.

Ive been over all the settings that I know of that might affect things but they all seem fine.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Can you show a website or image please? I am not sure I understand fully what you wanted to convey.

Also, what are your settings in the JA News module, as far as “article” order is concerned. If you chose “Order”, did you check the relative order of the new article with respect to the other articles? The other issue is whether the article that is included in the Frontpage be included in the respective Category/Section.

I tried just three article examples to test your observations — view the “Our World Today in:

A new article was added to each of the following Categories in the Section, “Our World Today”:

“Canada & United States”
“Asia & Pacific”
“Middle East”

Observations:

From my initial trial, when I chose “Order”, I have to make sure that the latest will be at the top to appear first in the Homepage (what you call index page). Even if it is the latest article in category and you chose “Order”, if it is not at the top in the “Article” manager for each category, it will not be the top article in the Category

However, in the Section page, even if the Order was chosen, in the examples given, the latest article showed first.

When “Date Created” was chosen, the order of the articles does not matter. The latest article created will always be at the top, in each Category.

Are these what you want or expect to observe?

I am still trying to address issues of JA News2 and other issues before going past beyond the Demo stage for my Sandbox. I may stick with Teline II until they are resolved. Not a good choice either because I like the layout of Teline III.
