I am having an issue where I am unable to fully control where JA News is showing up on my site. I am using JA News FP to highlight various articles on the frontpage of my site, and then I have a separate news page using JA News where articles – old and new – are displayed from a variety of sections.
My problem is that when I click on a content item from JA News FP, rather than opening just that content item in a detail/complete view, it opens the content item and then JA News appears below that detailed content item view. In other words, JA News is appearing in more places than its Menu Assignment selection would suggest should be happening.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Does anyone know how to correct it?

Hi ralley,
Can i suggest you to read this post? You’ll find the extension described very useful in situations like this, when you’re struggling with Joomla’s modules assignment.
Good luck! 🙂

March 25, 2010 at 3:48 pm #337747Thanks, the extension you recommended solved my immediate problem. As a side note, JA News FP was the only module that kept me from using ACE SEF on my site. There is something about how the JA News modules are coded differently from most Joomla extensions that is manifesting itself here and with a SEF extension.
For the time being, the problem is solved…

I’m glad it worked.
