Hi,
I don’t understand what is cooking with my JA News 1.3.1 component.
Whenever I change the “Article Order” setting in the module from “Order” to “Created Date” or “Modified Date” it throws my page content way all over the screen. I’ve re-installed the module but with no success. I have it to group by Section as suggested.
I want to change this because my articles aren’t ordering on the front page by date…
Anyone seen the same thing before?
Thx

January 22, 2009 at 6:04 am #287560Hi Powerbook
Do you have a live URL? Also, did you install the QuickStart package with the template?
Usually, by default, JA News will order all articles with the latest published first in each section.
My site is working this way, but in the JA News module I have Article Order set to ‘Order’. However, it still works via date!
Try reset to ‘Order’ and refresh the front page, the newest article in each section should appear.
Cheers
ChrisJanuary 22, 2009 at 3:48 pm #287668Hi,
I installed the template afterwards due to data in the db. I tried all order setting in the 1.3.1 mod but the only one that doesn’t throw everything all over the screen in the “Order” one but with that the data doesn’t display in order of date. This is my live site; dev so I wouldn’t really like to give out the URL here on the forum :((
Is this the way the “jazin” menu creator should be? At this stage I am looking at everything but I have a idea I’ll just log it with JA… I’ve exhausted all my knowledge and tried to disable all mods and plugins that might cause this :((
Thanks
