Can I have my articles appear in the Category order (This is not for Front Page) on my home page:

For example: Under the Section “Health and Fitness” I have the following Categories in order of appearance: “Body” “Mind” “Spirit”

Is there anyway I can have Ja News display the article in “Body” first and then show “Mind” and finally “Spirit”

Right now it appears to generate the appearance of these articles in order of “most recent” I have tried playing around with Order in both magazine and category and section manager, but can not seem to get this to work.

I have searched the forums, but have not found anyone with a similar question.

This depends on what you set as default in the “Order” dialog, in the Admin page of JA News. I think if you select “Order” — not “date created” or “date modified” — it more or less gives what you want. The only problem with choosing “Order” is that if you have more than one category per section, the actual list displayed would be one from each order, as they are arranged in your “Contents”, I think.

I recognized this weakness of the JA News format, and since I started using Teline II, I have requested Joomlart to make the necessary change that the JA News may be configured the way the articles appear in the JA News Frontpage.

In the Frontpage — the default is the latest added, but you have the option to “order” them further, as you wanted.
