After my report on teline II v1.3 updated in teline II v1.4 <br /> problems come again…

if i want to be more specific below there is an exaplanation and an example of the bug.

When i enter a news:

Hi gaygiogia,

What did you change in your site? What version are you using now, for Teline II and Joomla?

Did you check the helper.php and the fix provided here:

There are several trim, helper.php modifications because what you want is different for example from what Bossep wants, and they changed the helperlper.php again lately to accomodate Bossep — it might have negated the fix for your purpose.

So it is working good again?

What fixes did you remove? and what fixes of helper.php did you retain?

especially for those with existing Joomla-Template sites already. For example, with your old site, it was actually possible to update the

Joomla 1.5.3-Teline II v1.5

to Joomla 1.5.6-Teline II v1.5

just by updating the Joomla using the patch

Joomla 1.5.3 to Joomla 1.5.6

and applying the SEO correction to the template:

In my case, I upgraded from

Joomla 1.5.5-Teline II v1.5 (fresh install for new sites)
the applied the Joomla 1.5.5 to Joomla 1.5.6 Patch Upgrade

There were no problems encountered in the resulting Joomla -Teline II because I did not change any of the Teline II fixes.

Could you please try to put in a read more, just for the sake of argument?
I do think this has somting to do with the extended char set and cutting of bits.
For istance, I was looking at the source of your page and in the full article the first pareadraph starts with

This lead me to think it has somting to do with the utf-8 char set. Same goes for the d’, “La in the code

Could you find the function replaceImage () in “modulesmod_janewshelper.php” and post the code here?

few day after teline II v1.4 was out.

a couple of days ago, i lost the import of database (except for news text) during the upgrade of joomla core from 1.5.3 to 1.5.6, and so i deleted my DB, and any file in the website.

i’ve installed a clean joomla 1.5.6 with last teline II download. i found a new bug ( http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/fatal-error-undefinited-function-quickstart-teline-2-1-5-6/ ). hainn84 fast fixed it.
but i refound the old bug of <br />, that i alredy found in teline v1.3.

but now i’ve last teline II version >:|

the old helper.php (teline II v1.3 for J1.5.3 fixed by hainn84 -17kb weight) works good.
the last helper.php (teline II v1.5 for J1.5.6 – 19kb weight) has the problem.

SOME PARTIALS DIFFERENCES:
old 1.3 helper.php

old 1.3 helper.php fixed and perfectly working:
[PHP]$row->introtext = str_replace(‘<br />’,’!@#!@#’,$row->text);

sorry for delay ! i’m back now . 😉 . i’m checking the problem , the smartrim class in Ja News have updated by other developver ( JA News’s author) to solved some problem . so may be he have removed it because some reason. now, i’m working with him to resolve the problem. sorry for missing ! He is skill developer. i think he will solve it soom.

I checked it and it dosent have the

I do belive you could add the BR tag in the admin page of JA_News in the hidden classes field.

hi dear,
yes, i already saw the difference, but it is changed many things from 1.3v… , and even if i add that code, the problem persist 🙁
infact all text is correctly shown, but images disappears 🙁
