I have articles in a Section that I don’t want to appear in the JA News part of the homepage on my site. Is there any way to hide/limit which sections appear here.

I am using Joomla 1.5

Yes Miles,

All you have to do is not include it in the JA News Module

administrator => Extensions => Module manager => JA News

to the right you will find a listing of Sections (based on their ID as well as the color designation).


Group by Category or Section => select Section


Category (Section) ID


13:red
14:orange
8:deepblue
12:cyan
5:green
9:pink
11:lime
6


using this listing, you may add, delete or rearrange the Sections (the relevant Section ID) that would be in the Homepage, including many other features —

The section ID , you can find from the Sections manager

administrator => Content => Section manager

The Section ID is the number at the far right.

I had that part with the Section IDs blank, so I guess it was just displaying everything.

Miles,

If you create new sections, it will not automatically display it there. Also, note that what you place in the Magazine menu does not automatically display in the JA News module or vice versa.
