I followed the installation instructions and install Xenia on this site:

    http://www.modernmusicinstitute.com/

All works fine but Ja News doesn’t rotate.

I’ve also tried to chmod 777 ja_news folder but still can’t rotate.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

For security reason, some servers require the permission 755 for folders and 644 for files to make it running. Please make a try to CHMOD folder ja_news to 755 and its files to 644.

Ja-news rotate on FireFox but not on IE.
Permissions are ok. Did you find the problem or can I send you also my superadmin access?

    Thanks

Looks like it’s working for me on I.E.

    1. If you have published the VM dynamic search module (not the real name, but I forget what its called) it interferes with the script that makes Ja news rotate.
    2. You have to have more than one news article published to the first page to make it rotate.
    3. Other modules or scripts can make it stop rotating.
    Hope this helps.

I have standard search module and Google search.
Of course I have more than a new (on FF it works fine)
It seems it’s a problem with Javascript and IE.
    Uff 🙂

    thanks

Try unpublishing extra modules one at a time to see if any of them may be causing the problem.

I have the same issue mod_janews does not autoroll on either IE or FF. I have 4 news stories published and no other search function other then the default. The only other module I have of note is ja headlines which works fine.

I have followed the setting in the user manual to the letter and nothing. If anyine has a fix it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

JA news 1.2 beta only rotates, if show headline is set to show.
