this was a quickstart for Ja-quillaja

so Ja-news was already configured.

however I am having many problems

1. the rotating news flash items are “doubling” on the page when you click them
so when its clicked one appears on top then janews appears on the bottom

2. when the category title of a content item is displayed and then clicked
It doesnt show any of the content that is contained in the area. it only shows a blank page with next and previous buttons (although I have navigation turned off in Global config) and I can see other content items in the bullet list below the content entry and also…the Janews module appears below it. after the click

3. The Ja-news module appears on every page that is clicked from it
Yet I have Ja-news set to ONLY appear on the home page, and I even applied the hack to isolate it to the front page. but it still appears with every entry.

Please assist , I have searched every post in quillaja forums and see many people with the same problem, but nobody has ever posted any solution

why cant we have a user guide for this module?

well..no replies to any of my janews problems
so heres what I’m doing.

either I get some support or I am
1. not renewing my two subscriptions
2. disputing the charges on my card

I did not pay for this addon to be ignored or provided with a beta quality or broken product

maybe this will get some attn.

well…since Joomlart has decided not to offer support for this

I was forced to call the credit card company and dispute the card charges,

its the only thing I can do

I bought this product and cant use it ..nor can I get support for it.

Did you already use the premium support for your problems?

Usually you get a answer much faster like that. You will find the premium support under your member area.

well, no I dont have the support package

but I did purchase the product and it works very poorly out of the box

the least the developer could do is chime in with suggestions.

bottomline….
its flawed, and many people have the same problem, theres no manual or anything

I’m disappointed and aggravated

so I called AMEX and disputed.

I wont be held hostage, and I wont pay for someone to fix this problem, it should work as specified in the quickstart

so many people have the same issues

and not one of them has ever been solved.

I have been posting for 2 weeks about my problems
the most I got was how to fix the breadcrumb issue and some header alignment.

I believe everyone has, its not a extra option you will have to buy.
Its a service JA provides to give better support i suggest you use it even tho some errors might be obvious.

yes maybe I will try that, but Im left with a rather sour taste for this product.

the site we added this to is quite large and will grow very fast as they publish several magazines in just the next few months.

I have to have a solution that works and isnt buggy,
and will work without a gazillion mods and hacks

time is money as you know

this template site was at the recomendation of the original designer of the site.
it looks decent on the demo, but in the real world is just doesnt function as demonstrated
and what does function is slow and buggy.

– zero support
– zero upgrades
– no instructional guider

I think I need to find another solution to our news headline needs.
maybe FPSS or a flash based solution.

I will get my refund from the CC company , Im not worried about that, but I think I would like to stop using this template,

if I am having issues this early in, what happens in 3 months or so?

I may try to post in the support section
